Big news from over the holidays was Eastview beating #1 Hopkins down at St. Olaf in their Holiday Tournament.  We just published a feature article, Team Analysis - Eastview. Check it out!

Defending Wisconsin state Champs came into the St. Olaf tournament to beat two top 10 teams in Farmington and Northfield. They followed up those performances pushing  then #1 AAAA Hopkins to overtime, where the Royals ultimately prevailed.

Down in Rochester, Hutchinson was upset by Byron in a somewhat unexpected result.  Rochester Lourdes also beat an upstart Anoka team and followed that up with a win over Chanhassen. Pair of AAAA wins for the AA school.

Farmington 2019 post and Northern Iowa recruit Kaitlyn posted a triple-double against Mayo.

Orono went into Holy Angels and really pushed them, ultimately losing 70-77. George Washington commit Madeline Loder scored 40 in the losing effort.

New Ulm's Joey Batt is holding onto the State Scoring lead averaging 29.5 ppg.  Rounding out the top 5 are BOLD's Makenna Steffel, Sam Haiby, Morgan Hill, and Lariah Washington.

Only 9 teams in the state remain undefeated heading into the new year.  Only 3 teams at the bigger school levels in Willmar, Wayzata, and Eastview.

Gopher women are now 1-2 in Big Ten Conference play. They opened up with a win over Northwestern, before losing at home to Nebraska and on the road at Ohio State. They host Michigan State tomorrow.
